Gnosis Solutions announces the first commercial Long
Transaction Manager for Microsoft SQL Server™ called
the Gnosis Transaction Manager.
The Gnosis Transaction Manager performs Long Transactions
of virtually unlimited size, duration and table structure
complexity.
We are very pleased to make this software announcement
and believe the Gnosis architecture is suited to a wide variety
of software projects in fields such as GIS, CAD, CASE, E-commerce,
Document Management and more.
Existing commercial products can be ported to use Gnosis
Transactions on the powerful Microsoft SQL Server platform,
which provides extremely high performance and very competitive
pricing.
A key component of the Gnosis Transaction Manager is the
Gnosis Business Rule Manager, which manages the database definition,
data integrity rules and database generation. From this program
virtually any database structure can be defined and generated.
The code generator creates a standard select, insert, update,
delete interface that can match an existing database table
structure, thus porting of existing applications is relatively
simple and risk free.
The Gnosis Architecture offers very high performance as it
is able to offload merge processing to a background task,
which can run at low usage times, such as over night. Very
large transactions over many table structures can be committed
virtually instantaneously, avoiding a long operator delays
which would occur if the operation was performed synchronously.
