The Gnosis Evaluation Database has been built to demonstrate the capabilities of the Gnosis Business Rule Manager, Gnosis Auditable Database and/or Gnosis Transactions
in a relatively simple to understand database, which
is populated with sample data. |

Evaluation
Data Model |
| The Evaluation data model demonstrates
the following capabilities... |
- Business Rule Manager Objects (Tables and Views)
- Business Keys and Data Keys
- Foreign Key constraints between Objects (both Tables
and Views)
- Class Hierarchies
|
- Recursive Data Structures
- Check constraints on Objects (both Tables and Views)
- Enforcing Constraints on Activity or on Commit.

The
Evaluation Database Entity Relationship Diagrams |
| The Evaluation Database manages
pieces of electical equipment and where they are located.
The Equipment are Transformers, Switch Gear or Pole Assemblies
and are Installed to Locations. The setup program will
also populate the Evaluation Database with sample
data, as is shown in the simplified Data Model Diagram. |

Evaluation Data
Model - Detailed

This data model shows relationships between the Major
Tables and other Objects. It still does not, however,
include all the objects defined in the Evaluation Database. |
|
Evaluation
Database Business Entities |
| The Evaluation Database contains
definitions of Business Entities, which are groupings
of related tables (or views) that are maintained by applications. The blue cube is used to
denote Primary or Secondary components of a Business Entity,
which are inserted, updated and deleted to by the controlling
application, otherwise the arrow/table symbol indicates
referenced data, stored for lookup purposes by the
application. |
|
Location Business Entity. The Location
Business Entity is made up of the Primary Object Location.
The Object Parent Location is defined for reference
purposes, although it is in fact the Location
object in another guise, the Location Type object
is also defined for reference. The Parent Location
view contains a column that returns the result of a Function,
that loops recursively up to the top of the location tree,
and produces the Location Full Name. |
|
Transformer Business Entity. The
Transformer Business Entity is made up of the Primary
Object Transformer and Secondary Objects Equipment
and Installation. The Objects Location,
Maufacturer and Transformer Type are
defined for reference purposes, and are not updated
when we maintain an Equipment Object.
There are similar definitions for the Switch Gear and
the Pole Assembly Business Entities. |
